I just stumbled on SVSs tube subs, and was curious of the benefits of the tube other than the low footprint. Do they perform as well or better than a cabinet/cube sub?

I just stumbled on SVSs tube subs, and was curious of the benefits of the tube other than the low footprint. Do they perform as well or better than a cabinet/cube sub?

SVS says the cylinder versions perform very much like the box versions. The cylinders are less expensive and don't weight as much. The other advantage, as you noted, is that they take up less floor space.
