Hi everyone!

I have that peculiar problem that i was able to reproduce on at least 4 PCs running multi core intell/amd cpus

If i take original file made with the HF100 (highest quality 30p mode)
and try to play it back in Real media player (which is a part of Klite mega pack) immediately after a fresh install of K-lite mega, it is playing just fine - utilizing at least 2 cores of my quad (q6600) pc.
From that moment on if i try to play back the same file again it will only utilize single CPU core :eek:
I will try to attach the pic in my next post - couse it looks really funny - one core is at a 100% and the rest 3 are at almost 0% as a result not enough cpu power to decode that file - with all the bad consequences (lost frames freezes, etc).
In my opinion it is a software bug.
Anyone has any advice as to how i can tell my pc to utilize more cpu cores when playing that specific file.
It only happen for the files from my Canon hf100 I can play back other 1080 p movies with always 2 cores involved (@40-60% each core) All together i can have at least 3 1080p files or 8 720p files:o played back silmantaniesly with no prob!!
Any info is appreciated!!!

Most software hasn't been optimized for multi core CPUs.

Not really a bug, they're just a little slow in catching up.

Real media playerI swore off "Real Media" software over 10 years ago. Don't even allow it in my house. Their software use to do Real Nasty things to computers (no pun intended) so any problems you might have with your computer just might be caused by that software and I would try and get it off my system completely to see if that helps.

Yes, I am serious....

What is your player then!?!?
Once I installed VLC ever so often my computer makes very strange 'Knocking on the dooor' sounds ....
what else is there - BS player not as easy to navigate and stretch the screen as it is with real media player classic... Not too many alternatives

You see that is the point - whenever I playback 1080 or 720 downloaded material the CPU load is spread very evenly between two cores:) - always!!!!
And only when i try to play back that camcorder footage only one core takes the heat:confused:!

Power Director use to have a good DVD player which worked well for some video. I don't recall the acyual name,

Nero comes with a media player which many have said was the way to go with AVCHD.

And how am I supposed to know that from your posts?

1. You said "Real media player (which is a part of Klite mega pack)" in your first initial post.

2. I have no idea what "Klite megapack" comes with.

3. I gave you the home page URL of "Media Player Classic" ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/mpc-hc/ )
