I'm wondering if anyone here watches their HD video on a large projector screen. I'm thinking about getting either a HF100 or maybe HF11 and have constantly read how the difference between 17 mbps vs 24 mbps is negligible, if noticable at all, but I assume most of these people are watching the video on relatively normal sized screens and no 100" ones. I'm definately leaning towards the HF100 because of the $300 price difference, but I want to make sure it will still look beautiful even when blown up that large. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I am sure it depends on the quality of the projector and a hdmi input is a must here i would think,i am also interested in this and look forward to people who use projectors with cams answering.

See my mino hd post. I have an nec ht1100 projector and played recorded video from my computer via a 15 pin VGA connector with stunning clarity. the camera records in 720p the projector projects just short of hd (1024x768) but the optics, contrast and brightness make overall picture excellent. Image I show is over 8 feet diagonal. Now, does anyone know the answer to my framing question? Will recording in sd and therefore 4:3 fix the problem of cutting off peoples heads when recording with the mino hd in 16:9 at close range or do I need a camera with wide angle lens and are these available? maybe a still camera with excellent video capabilities and memory. Will need to record at least an hour straight.

AVCHD files from my Canon HF10 look amazing on my Sony VW50. I mostly use my PS3 for playback of AVCHD files to the projector to a 120" & 181" 16x9 screens.

That is great to hear. I'll probably stick with the HF100 is it looks that good.
