This is probably a bit on the lo-fi side for this board, but I'm looking for a remote control for my 80-year-old mom. The only thing it needs to control is a Westinghouse SK-32H590D TV/DVD combo (original remote RMC-02). I've had a hard time getting any of my cheap universal remotes to deal with the DVD side of this set - they can handle the TV fine, but not the DVD.

Ideally the remote would be very simple, with big buttons, and some capacity for macros so I could program a couple of different simple tasks.

I've asked at the JP1 forums and the reply I got was that there weren't any JP1 remotes with big buttons, and that it's hard to find a non-JP1 remote to control something as uncommon as this TV/DVD combo.

Any ideas?

thanks...

THIS (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2454734)is the biggest button JP1 remote I know of, but it's probably not as simple as you'd like. The upside is it does learning and macros. The downside is it's a pain adding pins for the JP1 interface. But PM me, and I can get you one with pins added already.

How big is this remote? I cannot find any size information from the Philips site.

This looks perfect for my 93 year old father in-law
