If you want a real HD cam the Canon Vixia will get you there... If you want a kids camera get the casio thedark_master 11-28-08, 10:58 AM so what you are saying that the casio's quality is worse for video? or are you saying that it is just not made mainly for video so it does not have the functions as the sony? NJ3118 11-28-08, 11:49 AM so what you are saying that the casio's quality is worse for video? or are you saying that it is just not made mainly for video so it does not have the functions as the sony? i have never used the casio nor would rely on a camera not solely designed for video...imo kalak 11-28-08, 06:23 PM they both cost around the same amount, which one do you prefer and why? Well, you should know the answer when you post it in a Camcorder forum! :) Casio is not a camcorder, it is a digital camera with video function, with special slow motion modes. Maybe in the future, we will have a hybrid device which works well in both camera and camcorder functions; but not just quite yet at this point. If you want a camcorder, HF10 is the natural choice. thedark_master 11-28-08, 09:43 PM ok well let me switch the question around a little bit, is there any other "real"camcorder that is in the same price range that also does slow motion unlike the HF10 which can do 60fps max osv 11-29-08, 12:24 PM the hf10 can't do 60fps, it does 30fps max, like nearly all camcorders. i think you are confusing fields with frames... 60i means 60 fields per second, and there are two fields per frame, so it's 30 frames per second. thedark_master 11-30-08, 01:20 AM oh ya i misread that.... Well is there any good camcorder out there for aroun 1000 that can shoot at more than 60fps? |
