Hello

I would like to know how the Optimum 12 compare to the SPL 1200R and DD 12. All of these have auto EQ. I am aware the one in DD12 is more advanced in a way it gives you a graphical images on screen. I remeber reading somewhere the SPL 1200 has more output than the DD12. I am inclined to the Optimum 12 for price/performance ratio (But the problem is I haven't seen them compared in this respect). Please help me!

In Velodyne's 230V product range, they list a new subwoofer -- the spl-ultra series. It appears to be identical to the Optimum. It wouldn't surprise me if they discontinue the spl-r line. The dd series is getting long in the tooth as well and will probably be updated soon. Have yet to see a review on the new Optimum.

The Optimum 12 has not been on the market long enough for any real feedback from users. There are also no tests from the professional subwoofer testers.

The SPL1200R is a proven good performer.

The DD 12 is too little performance for too much money.

I guess there are a few "shy" Optimum owners out there not posting their coments on their babies. DON't BE SHY!!!

I will post my question in the Velodyne Support thread and see if I get more feedback.
