I gave my nephew my old set a few years ago when I upgraded. He has been trying to use component inputs for his dvd and cable box and set the dvd player to output progressive. He says when he does this, the picture is all messed up. I told him to verify that the component cables match up on the tv and dvd (red to red, blue to blue, ...). He says everything seems hooked up ok.

I could have sworn I used progressive output my 555es dvd changer. Sony support says the tv only does 480i, but I'm skeptical. Can anyone who has this set confirm?
