Ok my setup is as follows...Samsung LNT-4071, Harmon Kardon 245 and I use a custom built PC to play video and music. I already own a wireless mouse and keyboard so I can control the computer from the couch. The only problem is if i want to switch sources on the TV or reciever then I have to hunt for the remote. I don't even know if this device exist but if it does can someone point me in the right direction? Is there a device that can control my mouse/keyboard functions as well as my TV and receiver? If it does macros then price is no option. I do not need lights and hotub functions etc. I just want to operate my computer, tv, and reciever from the couch (yea I know its lazy).

I have zero experience with them, but there are a couple of software packs out there that will enable you to map IR commands to your keyboard and mouse buttons. I believe this same software can be used to set-up macros. You would also need an USBIRT (think that's what it's called). This basically turns one of your usb jacks into an IR blaster that shoots your IR codes at your equipment.

Gyration makes a few models of media center/air mouse remotes, that might do what your after, with greater ease.

i think the iphone has applications that work using wifi instead of ir.

yes you are correct...it does use wifi instead of ir...that is the problem...i want my remote to be able to operate the television as well as the computer...i was kind of looking for a keyboard that has rf and ir built in...and maybe a little trackball included on the keyboard
