When I bought two subscriptions for SIRIUS, I was sold on the fact that I would be able to get NBA games while I was travelling or in my cars. I have been able to for the last two years and no one told me that would change. I made a decision between XM and SIRIUS based on the NBA.

Now they want more money for the programming in the form of "Best of XM" and neither of my radios are even compatible with the new programming to get it, if I wanted to actually spend more...which I think is outrageous that they even asked. They sold it to me, then stole it back.

So basically now, I have to spend more to get the programming they already sold me once, and get two new radios...or change to XM, lose the money I already paid, and pay more, as well as get two new radios. There is no way I am going to spend more, and I think they owe me money.

People are saying, well it is not SIRIUS, it is XM...but it is the SAME company, and the SAME company CAN provide it for you, but ONLY at an additional cost. What a scam!

I do not know about you, but I do not have the kind of money to lose on what I already bought, and spend even more. I feel like someone who was duped into buying a home I could never pay for on an outrageous mortgage that I could never pay.

Hey, do you think we can to go to Congress and ask for a sattellite radio customer bailout?

I do not know how others feel about this, but I feel violated and think there needs to be some way to get people together to remedy this injustice.

I have been playing close attention to this as well. When they where going through the merger discussion one of the things they promised is that the price would not increase. I believe by letting the NBA contract expire w/ Sirius they figured out how to split the sports networks between the two services thus making the XM subscribers want to get the best of sirius for the NFL, and vice versa for Sirius so we could get the NBA & eventually MLB.

What upsets me the most as a loyal customer, is that I bought into the B.S. they shoved down our throats. I trusted them when they said that our programming would not change, and it would only get better.

Well, at this point it can only get better if we decide to pay EXTRA for something we used to have...

Just my theory.

(((((((Thundercloud)))))) I have SIRIUS, 100% NOT HAPPY.

Will drop both subscriptions when they expire.

I expect that Sat radio will eventually go away as we know it, and be replaced by a new emerging company, after XM /SIRIUS lose all their subscribers over this mismanagement and customer betrayal.

Get your story straight !!!

In one thread you complain because you dont wanna buy a subscription to xm!

and in another posted the same day you write that you are dropping both services.

Oh..... i posted in pretty colors so you understand!

no one told me that would change. Here's a bit of info you might find useful - things change. Everything single thing you subscribe to will probably chance at some point in the future. Prices may even go up. Now that you know, hopefully you won't feel "violated" next time it happens.

Anyone who is upset about Sirius pulling its NBA programming, transferring it to XM radio and then expecting us to pay more for what we were already getting (especially those with lifetime subscriptions) should visit consumeraffairs.org and fill out an online form for a potential class action lawsuit. If enough people do it I think we may be able to do something.
