Hi
I am a proud owner of a new 42" PZ85 Plasma and Bu-ray player. The salesman sold me a Monster 6.68Gbps 60Hz HDMI cable, although there was also a 'higher end' cable rated at 120Hz and a higher data rate. Should I have gotten the 120Hz cable?
Can someone enlighten me as to the difference? I understand why better quality cabes are important for analog audio, but for digital signals over short lengths, does the cable really matter?
all you need is to check out monoprice, blu jeans, or firefold. you can get a very capable hdmi for about $8.
'higher end' cable rated at 120HzAbsolute BS.

Yeah I would DEFIANTLY RETURN that cable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your plasma does 480 sub Hz and just having 60 is going to make the blacks and motion so much worse. But monster 1000 is the best cable on the market so far and think of that cable as a future investment because the monster 1000 is "cable for life" which means when they do make a better cable all you have to do is send in that cable and get a better one.

How much did you pay for that cable? Because despite all the marketing bullcrap that salesman spewed out, a $200 Monster cable won't perform any better than a $5 HDMI cable from places like Monoprice dot com. That store probably made more profit on that cable than they did on the TV, and i'm not joking.
You have to return that cable for a complete and full refund ASAP, and just get a cheap one. You will not be able to see a difference at all. Seriously.

I am sure he was being sarcastic.I don't think so - he doesn't really seem to know much about the stuff he sells :p
