Hi

I have a Harmony 885 (I think it is the same as the 880 or 895) and a Denon 3808.

I have one problem though.

When in the main menu of the Denon, the UP and Down arrows do not work on the remote.

I have tried everything to get it to work, ie learning it etc but nothing works.

Anyone seen this before or have a solution?

Thanks

Arry

then you should at least be able to learn the code if the other buttons work on your harmony. have you tried learning other buttons to see if they work in this fashion? try learning the power button and see if that works. i know it probably works via the built in ir code but lets see if it is learning properly.

Hi, yes I have tried all of that. It even works properly with the Denon but just not in the menu, left and right work but not up and down??

this is a pita but you can call harmony support and see what they can walk you through.

I cannot believe it !

I read in the Logitech forums that others were having this issue going back approx 12months ago.

I wrote to Logitech first 3 or 4 days ago and after 3 emails (each one was looked into and answered promptly) they have now resolved the issue.

It was a bug.

Needless to say I am extremely impressed with the level of service I have received from Logitech support and am very happy I decided to buy a Logitech product.

Well done Logitech ! :D

interesting, Even though you had the Denon remote you went with harmony. I figured the Denon Remote looked high tech enough to controll everything else. My 3808 is in the mail lol, So i was looking for your feed back to see if I need to get a Harmony remote. Let me know what your opinion is. Thanks!!

While I don't have the 3808 I do have a 3802. I also just picked up a Harmony One. No way would I try to use my 3802 remote as a universal remote! The Harmony is way better in that regard!

Do you know what they did to fix this problem, as I'm having the same issue?

I am too, I'd love to hear how it was resolved.

I figured out my problem. For some reason the Harmony software automatically mapped the tune up and tune down commands to the up and down directional buttons. All I had to do was change them to the DirectionUp and DirectionDown commands. I really should have thought to check that sooner.

That is a weird mapping. I've had the Denon 3808ci for about a year and I simply added it to my 880. It controlled everything from the start correctly.
