I am pretty sure Stanford-Cal will be shot in HD. Last week when the Maryland- North Carolina game was over I was switched to Oregon State- California and it was in HD, and I have seen games that were said not to be in HD on ABC, shown in HD on Sportscenter.

Yes, the ABC games have been produced in HD all year long. The limitation with ABC is the number of HD feeds they can output at once.
Michigan vs. Ohio State up on ABC in HDTV. Watching on WXYZ in Detroit via Comcast.
E-A-G-L-E-S 11-22-08, 12:07 PM WTF?!
Louisville at WVU?!?!
Seriously!?!?
Does anyone care about that game?!?!?
Not OSU vs UM ?!?!?
I HATE ESPN!
redwings1914 11-22-08, 12:21 PM OTA here in Kalamazoo at Western Michigan, WOTV...Picture quality is abysmal as always with ABC.

I assume you are in the Philly market, which means the game will be on ESPN for you and not ABC. If you have D*, the game should be on the ESPN alternate channel. It will not be in HD since it is alternate programming for ESPN.
Michigan vs. Ohio State looks good on WXYZ in Detroit via Comast.
E-A-G-L-E-S 11-22-08, 01:54 PM Thanks homcom, I'm suprised Louisville-WVU is considered "Philly Market" though....The Big East is not cared about here for football....all PSU.
I actually called the Philly ABC studio and I was told that they were working on it and that they were told OSU/UM would be the primetime game and not the crappy Louisville-WVU.

Louisville-WVU is the national ESPN game, this is not a reverse mirror like the 3:30 slot. The only reason the UM/OSU game is on ESPN is because the local Philly ABC station had High school football and children programming.
E-A-G-L-E-S 11-22-08, 02:19 PM ESPN chose that game as their national game, roflmao....that's a horrible call.
I bet Harvard - Yale would get better ratings and more interest, along with a few others like OSU-UM.
Thanks for your help!
rotohead 11-22-08, 02:24 PM The audio level changes in the MI/OhioSt game is as bad as I've ever heard it. Ridiculous...game audio is extremely low, then a ABC promo comes on and blows out the speakers. Ad's and other audio is every level in between. What a joke. Unwatchable.

OSU-UM is a national game on ABC. Don't blame ESPN for your local ABC station showing high school football instead of the O OSU-UM game. ESPN even added the UM/OSU game as alternate programming in Philly so Philly viewers could see the game.
E-A-G-L-E-S 11-22-08, 03:08 PM Then what I said previously to ABC-Philadelphia and doubly so since the guy straight lied to me when he said, "We had an agreement to show OSU-UM".
And what made Tressel say that he is happy for his team for getting a piece of the big ten title....if PSU wins today we are both one loss but we beat them at their place....so OSU gets nothing, correct?
steverobertson 11-22-08, 03:35 PM WTF No Penn St game here in Boston on ESPN??? This is on D*
E-A-G-L-E-S 11-22-08, 03:42 PM MSU @ PSU
PQ is very good/superb with little to no artifacting and no swimming grass.(perhaps hidden by the snow)
D*
Allentown, PA
WPVI-Philadelphia, PA
coyoteaz 11-22-08, 03:45 PM Penn State game looks quite good here, WFAA Dallas via FiOS. This is one of the best games I've seen from WFAA.
MSU/PSU looks alright at the moment. It started out superb, but now it is decent.
OTA WFTV Orlando FL
billyrayvalentin 11-22-08, 04:10 PM What the hell happened to the reverse mirror. ESPN is blacked out in Greenville SC also for Penn State MSU on D*
Who do we complain too, to get this fixed.
Mike

I called D* it was like talking to a wall
have you tried looking at the ESPN alternate channel for the MSU/PSU. The regular ESPN channel should be blacked out for those who are supposed to get the MSU/PSU game on ESPN.
Nice work by ESPN and KTVB to present at least an SD Widescreen feed of the Boise State/Nevada game.

Great isn't it
ccotenj 11-22-08, 08:18 PM tt/ou...
initial pq quite good... sharp, both on main cams and on close-ups... good color, good grass, no pixelation... no messy reds... typical espn/abc good stuff...
aq... other than brent, adequate...
fios, south jersey...
ccotenj 11-22-08, 08:19 PM Great isn't it
yea, and considering it was widescreen sd, it really wasn't all that bad... turned out to be a much better game than it looked like it was going to be in the first half too...
TT/OU looks horrible in Lexington, KY. The affiliate here suffers from "glaucoma vision" where the picture gets blurry during fast action. Our CBS affiliate here suffers from the same problem.
mx6bfast 11-22-08, 08:35 PM Anyones digital feed starting acting up since the last commercial break? the screen has huge rows of blocks and the audio stutters. SD is fine.
Nevermind, fixed right after I posted this.
It's back right after I posted the update. I give up.
Update: Went to watch more of the FSU game and the signal is completely out now. Local issue.
ccotenj 11-22-08, 08:37 PM nope, all good here...
edit: oops... didn't take 'em long to fix it at least... :)

I hear you. I'm watching via OTA and this is pathetic.
ccotenj 11-22-08, 09:07 PM drag... :(
still good here... tt better score on this drive, or this could get ugly...
ccotenj 11-22-08, 09:17 PM it has officially begun getting ugly.... geez, i was really hoping for a good game tonight... :(
I know it is not always possible, because of stadium mounting locations, but it is very cool how ABC is taking Skycam behind and around the goalposts at Oklahoma.
rustycruiser 11-22-08, 09:51 PM Talk about getting spanked on national television. Ouch.
Despite the score, the Texas Tech / Ok. game ( Comcast Plymouth Mass.) is just jaw dropping. IMHO the Sat. night ABC games are the best PQ in all of football, at least what I'm getting through Comcast. NBC Sunday Night football is right there and CBS is great as well. But ABC's Sat. Night games week in week out have just been jaw dropping great here south of Boston.

It looks good but they really push the chroma IMO, that grass last night was screaming green. The skycam stuff was very cool though. OU appears to have very good lighting and only on four towers at each corner, contrast with the Maryland/FSu game which looked like a high school.
