Has anyone successfully converted component video to the DTV RGB input on this usnit? I'm desperately trying to find a component to RGB transcoder that will work with the RCA MM36100

I've tried the Audio Authority 9A65 and the video is skewed/warped when using the DTV input. However, if I connect up my old Unity Motion / Integra receiver using the RGB out on it (not the component) to the RCA DTV input it's fine using either the RGBHV or RGsB output modes.

I'm looking at a Key Digital KD-VA5 unit but it's twice as much as the Audio Authority and if someone has tried it without success I'll keep looking.

I've been doing some more research on my issue, I'm wondering, would I be better off using a DVI-D to RGB converter. I'm currently using an HDMI to DVI cable on my D* HR20 to my Mitsu 65613. Couldn't I use another HDMI to DVI cable then buy something like a Smartview DV-101 (http://www.direktronik.se/prod/pdf/m25-0064.pdf) to convert the DVI-D signal to RGB?

Anyone used one of these? Or another brand of DVI-D to RGB?

I've had no problems converting component to RGB for my MM36100 through the years. - Used an older Key Digital transcoder than the one you mentioned and fed it @ 1080i

Currently using the analog out of the DVI jack on my Iodata Pro-HD network streamer, set to output at either 1080i or 800x600 (works best)

Thanks, I'm going to try the DVI to RGB route, I'll post my results later this week when it arrives.

Just wanted to post back to the forum, the SmartView DV-101 which is a DVI to VGA converter works great coming from the D* HR-20 to my RCA MM36100!

I had to tweak the centering of the image via the service menu but other than that it was plug and play!

Finally I have HD again on this unit!
