I have this lovan stand currently for my audio equipment

Although I believe it is rated at up to 100lbs capacity (and weighing $160 lbs, I have sat on it as a test and noticed no shakiness), would you trust this stand with a 70lb $1500 plasma screen?

I would NEVER exceed the weight capacity of the stand by 60%.... Bad idea...

Protect your TV with a qualify piece of furniture for it to sit on.... Not come cheapo $70 stand that only supports itself with 3 legs.

He's well under the weight capacity as his plasma weighs 70lbs and the stand is rated to 100lbs. My concern would be if it's wide enough to support the whole base and like you mentioned it appears to be only on 3 legs. It also seems to high.
