HDV cams.

I enjoy the thought hard drive or flash cams. But what it means is going into avchd... which is just NOT ready for prime time.... not by a long shot.

HF11 which is flash based. I was using tape and could not stand the real time transfer, e.g. 30 min record, 30 min to transfer. The video on my flatscreen is awesome.

Currently a Canon with HDV tape. Like others, I'd like the faster transfer of an HDD or Flash memory camera. Can wait a bit longer for a more powerful computer for faster rendering.

Canon Vixia HG20 which has a 60GB internal hard drive, as well as a slot for SDHC cards. Seems to be the best of both worlds in the AVCHD format realm. Plus a great price right now (can't dicuss specifics on the forum).

Regards.
