View Full Version : Quick question - what's the Infocus IN83's color wheel speed? Shark7 11-23-08, 05:04 AM Projectorcentral says 4x color wheel speed. Projectorreviews says 5x color wheel speed. Which is it? Thanks SOWK 11-23-08, 06:25 AM When I saw one RBE didn't jump out at me, so I would think 5X. Shark7 11-23-08, 09:12 AM thanks for getting back to me. I hope you're right, although it seems from reviews that they've dealt well with rainbow and sd effects so in the end it probably doesnt matter that much. Also, does anyone know if the IN83 supports 3D content? As in if they figure out a way to put films like Bolt and Journey to the Center of the Earth on bluray in their theatrical 3D form, will the IN83 be able to play them in 3D like some of the other competing projectors claim they can? Shark7 11-25-08, 02:48 PM Seriously, what is it?! Someone must know! Jason, what's the IN83's color wheel speed? please! Jason Turk 11-25-08, 02:52 PM It is 5x, but I think you are worrying about that too much. There are 4x, 5x, and 6x speeds out there now. I have seen people have issue with rainbows on 6x that on other models which are 4x they don't see it. It is best to try and view these and not worry too much about these sort of details. If you cannot see these locally, try to find RPTV's with color wheels (Samsung for instance). See if rainbows are an issue there. From my experience, if you see them, you see them on all speeds. If you don't, you don't on any (at least that is the majority of people). |
