Has anyone noticed any issues with volume when streaming Netflix movies? I use the L/R stereo outputs and notice that the volume is considerably weak during movie playback. My standard TV listening volume is about 8 and I have to set it to over 40 for Netflix movies, which can't be right. Is there additional console volume settings I'm forgetting?
Thanks.
Same thing for me. Probably due to the low bitrate.

Low bitrate equals low volume levels? Not hardly. In the digital world, a lack of bandwidth leads to quality problems like drop-outs or macro-blocking, not "the picture is dim" or "the audio volume is low". It's more likely to be a reference level problem with the way the material was encoded. Either that, or an incorrect expectation in terms of what the volume level should be. For example, Dolby Digital uses a lower reference volume, so folks will always have to turn the volume up when listening to such sources as compared to analog sources; this has been happening in the HDTV world for years now.
