Is it just me or do these movies just do not look like they are in HD? Every movie we have ever ordered just looks like a very good upconverted DVD movie. It doesn't seem to be worth the extra couple of dollars per movie.
When watching movies on TBS or TNT that are in true HD it looks outstanding. I have yet to have that look with Comcast ON Demand HD movies.

How has other people's experience's been? Also If I order movies from the non HD selection would I get both the pillar and letter box's. That's the only reason why I haven't ordered movies from the regualr selection for fear of having a small rectangle for a movie.

My experience with Comcast HD on Demand has been great, have not seen anything that lloks like SD widescreen. Some of the SD movies are labeled as widescreen in which case you would get the postage stamp video.

thanks, maybe it's just my local comcast carrier, hmm I don't know or maybe I'm being too picky, who knows but either way it would be better than having the postage stamp look.

Yeah, My wife and I are like, this doesn't look like HD. The only movie that looked really good was 10,000 BC and that was most likely due to fact that it had alot of CGI which always looks good on flat panals.

Unfortunately, despite Bicker01's defense, Comcast is a rip-off in every imaginable sense. I've been told that FiOS will soon be available in my area (North NJ) sometime during the first quarter of 2009. Then I'll be able to deep-six Comcast for good. I can't think of any company that deserves losing customers more than this one.

this is really my only complaint about Comcast, otherwise the quality has been excellent, but the first sign of compression, I too am jumping ship.
