I have just received my new HF100. I have read on some sites that the XP+ mode or less record in 1440x1080 mode. On my HF100 it only record in 1920x1080. I cannot switch in 4:3 ratio mode. I would need it because I want to transfer some old 8mm movies without cropping the video.

Is there a way to switch resolution or am I stuck with 16:9 resolution for my transfer?
