I am using the Harmony 890 to control the lighting in my basement. However, I have a Intermatic HA07C control and I'm wondering if I can have this control the lights as a backup even though I have the 890 as the main remote. Is this possible? Is there another remote that control the lights while I use the 890 as my main still? Thanks.

Brian

No. You are sol unless you have an 890 pro. I may have a way around it though pm me

I also purchased a separate Z-wave controller to use with my 890, but found out that you could only use one or the other. The Z-wave units only seem to allow syncing with one controller at a time. At first I couldn't get the new controller to work, but then erasing is and adding it worked. At that point my 890 stopped controlling it. I'm only out $25 and decided to keep it if I ever switch to a non-Z-wave compatible remote.

yes harmony bastardized their implementation of zwave and locked it down. on the 890 pro you can replicate to a secondary controller.

i may have a way around it though and am looking for some beta testers. pm me if interested.

I appreciate the offer, however I do not want to alter the 890 right now because it's working almost perfectly for me finally! I just wish I could have that second controller.

has nothing to do with altering the 890. has to do with adding a new 2nd controller but not the ha07.
