I am having an odd problem with my Samsung PN63A650 Plasma...

Whenever the content i am watching goes to a black frame, the display seems to 'turn off'... as an example, if there are credits with a black background and white text followed by a frame of no text (just black) followed by the next credit, the tv actually goes from backlit black with text on screen to non-backlit (screen presumably off) back to backlit black with text... this is very jarring -- is this a setting i have misconfigured, or is this how plasmas work? :confused:

Is your DNIE on? If so, turn it off and see what happens.

Don't know, but will report back when I get home :) I take it from your response that this isn't a generic plasma tv issue? (This is my first plasma -- I didn't know if this was just something that plasmas do)
