I have the Tech Craft SWP60 stand in black. I'm about to buy a 50" plasma (most likely a Panasonic Pro model), and although I originally planned to simply buy a pedestal stand to sit the plasma on top of the Tech Craft, I've recently changed my mind.

I would now prefer to buy a mount, so I can basically have the plasma slightly elevated to the back of the stand, and have the surface of the stand empty. Although this obviously isn't the Tech Craft stand I have, this is the exact look I'm going for with my set-up:

I would appreciate some recommendations of what mount I can buy to achieve this look. I saw the Tech Craft PLM50 online, but it's not really the look I'm going for. I'm not crazy about the single "pole" design. I'm much more interested in something that looks like the picture I posted above, although in black.

I'm aware of the Bello PP-59B, and maybe someone can let me know if that would be an option for me. As you can tell, I know nothing about these mounts.

I would really appreciate some input on this.

the bello mount is specific to bello stands. it has two screws that attach to the stand. not sure if your techcraft would have enough support for it.

most mounts like that are specific to the stand for addt'l support.
(your picture is similar to the bdi avion 8527)

you could always just get a sanus or omnimount wall mount for your plasma and get wiremold :

you could cut in two for the look you're going for.

this would give you a similar look (although it would be on the wall you might have to have your stand really close to the wall for the effect you want)
and it would cover your wires without having to cut into the wall.

or you could get some sheet metal and have it cut and bent then attach to your stand.

sorry, the only ideas I have without going out and buying a new stand set up.

Thanks for the response, Pivotalrex. I currently rent an apartment, and I'll most likely be moving in the next year. Therefore, I'd rather not mess around with the wall at all. I was really hoping to find something that will work with the stand I have, and give me the look I want. I guess I'll keep searching.

If anyone else has any ideas, or suggestions, please share.

Have you checked out any mounts by Sanus Systems?

^^^Thanks for the replies. The thing is, I need a mount that will work with my Tech Craft stand, as mentioned in the first post. I wonder if I'm going to be stuck with the Tech Craft PLM50, otherwise I'll be forced to go with the pedestal stand.

Actually, I ended up purchasing a 50" Pioneer Elite Kuro, and I just have it sitting on top of my Tech Craft stand, no mount.

Anyone know what the stand in this picture is?

Very attractive, I'd actually think about getting it for myself.

THAT IS THE BELLO PP-59S STAND. I ALSO JUST BOUGHT THE SAME 50 INCH KURO. FROM THE R AND D THAT I HAVE DONE THE BELLO BOLTS TO THE BACK OF THE UNIT 20 INCH UP FROM THE FLOOR AND THE BOTTOM PART OF THE "L" SITS COMPLETELY ON THE FLOOR NOT RAISED ABOVE THE FLOOR. THE LEGS WILL GO UNDER THE STAND IF IT IS ABOVE THE FLOOR, IF NOT YOU WIL HAVE TO NOTCH THE STAND. I HAVE A TECHCRAFT PTV483B WHERE I HAVE TO NOTCH THE STAND AND THEN BOLT IT TO THE UNIT, I WOULD RATHER DO THAT THAN USE A SINGLE POLE DESIGN THAT TECHCRAFT USES AND TAKE A CHANCE OF THE POLE UNBOLTING FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE UNIT, THE PLM50 DOES NOT SIT ON THE FLOOR, IT BOLT TO THE BOTTOM OF YOUR UNIT AND THE TO THE TOP LIKE A "C" CLAMP DESIGN. gOOD LUCK AND I HOPE THIS HELPS.
