After 2 yrs I'm finally going to get rid of my entertainment center and mount my plasma. I know the topic has been discussed many times, I'm just looking for opinions between the sanus vmaa 18 and the peerless sa 750/760. I know they are both good mounts but does anyone lean more towards one than the other and why?

I don't think I will be extending the arm beyond 20" but the peerless looks beefier and for some reason it seems safer to me. I know the sanus is rated for 130 # and won't give out, it's just a psychological thing.

that being said, the sanus looks like it will fold in closer to the wall is this correct?

I'm assuming the 750 will also fold in closer than the 760 w/two arms also?

appreciate any info you guys could give.

thanks

If you're looking for a heavy-duty swing arm mount for 30-50" flat panels, you should check out the MWR from Chief Manufacturing. It's low profile (3.38" from the wall when collapsed) and extends 25".

thanks but they don't have an articulating mount that's compatible w/my plasma. plus I can get either the peerless or sanus for around 250.00
