I’m going to be in the market for a new tv shortly and need some advice on what would be right for me?
Sharp, Samsung, Sony, Panasonic, etc. all seem to have good sets in the high-end lines.
What I’m looking at is 50-52in., 24p true cinema (or whatever each brand calls it) and preferably very good to excellent SD playback. Looking at a budget between $2000-2800 if the higher price sounds justified :P
Some of my info may be outdated, but I guess my reasons for trying to go with a lcd instead of a Plasma is due to the higher power usage and that the color advantage over lcd has diminished greatly.
Usage would be movies (large SD dvd collection, some HD DVD) and will be getting a Wii for christmas :)
Are there any places that test/report input lag for lcd tvs?
Any other input would be very helpful. Thanks.
