I need to capture PS3 gameplay footage internally with sound (not by setting up a camcorder in front of it), I don't care whether the capture resolution video is SD or HD, as long as I don't have to play in SD.

Would a product like this work?

SAMSUNG DVD-VR375 DVD RECORDER/VCR COMBO
If so, anything cheaper than this that would do this job?

Basically, I want to be able to play PS3 in HD (720p) and capture gameplay footage in HD or SD.

I don't know exactly what iLink DV is, but the other input it has is a composite input.

You're unlikely to find a way to record *IN HD* on any existing recorder. If the PS3 has composite outputs (I think it does), and you want to record in SD (you said HD or SD), then it will work.

I don't know exactly what iLink DV is...That's just another term for IEEE 1394, or FireWire, the direct digital camcorder input.
