it is a fun multiplayer game

It's up there, although I don't know about best ever. I like it better than COD4/Halo/Gears/Warhawk in many ways, although each have their own little unique traits that are good. I'd imagine BF:BC would have had a much bigger audience had COD4 not caught fire and turned into the benchmark for console FPS games.

BF2: MC was better.

Still can't setup private rooms...

No way. The best multplayer game ever invented was obviously Combat for the Atari 2600. There were like about 45 different game modes. You could be a blocky tank, or a blocky tank with richochet-bullets...or even guided missiles. And who could forget invisible mode? You could be a bomber, a bi-plane, or a jet plane, or even two jet planes together. Or you could do three jet planes against a bomber. And they had guided missles, straight shots, and machine guns. Clouds? You got it. Wrapping from one side of the screen to other? You betcha!

Plus, it came with the console...for free! It rocked! Yeah, it sounds too good to be true.

Games today are lucky if they have a 1/2 dozen game modes.

wow considering the game lauched with limited maps, no conquest modes, squad online chat... if is far from best multiplayer game..

actually, this game online is a friggin mess. theres crap blowing up everywhere and it desperatley needs a kill cam. there is absolutely too much going on to strategically pull anything off.

it's very confusing at first especially if you're trying to play it like call of duty 4

the maps are HUGE, grand theft auto 4 huge

there is a lot going on, i recommend going recon aka sniper and throw out the sensors aka recon sensors AHEAD of you nearby enemy gold crates to get a view of where they are on the radar

A kill cam? I am so glad there is none. Why should someone give up their position after killing me or vice versa? Completely lame. Strategy is not hard at all. Work as a squad and overall as a team and winning the round can often be done.

BF:BC is very dumbed down compared to the glory that was BF2 on the PC. Go play BF2 on the PC for the real deal.
