I was wondering if anyone can tell me if there is any difference in using composite cables for component inputs? Is there any quality difference?

I'm asking because my friend is using his composite cables and plugging it in his component inputs and is working perfectly fine. He says it is the same wires.

I did a search and came up with some mixed answers. Some say there is no different and some say there is some noise and color problems.

Component video cables should be 75ohms. For very short runs multiple composite cables may suffice. Component cables aren't expensive. A lot depends on the equipment being used and the "eye of the beholder". :)
