Just came down for the Thanksgiving holdiay and my moms tv doesn't seem to be working. She has a Toshiba 30HFX84 TV that she probably got over 3-4 years ago. When you go to turn the TV on, the is a loud humming noise from the TV and the power light doesn't go on. The only way to get the humming noise to quit is to unplug the TV.

Sounds pretty bad and not sure if this is now junk or if it can be fixed. Not sure if this was the correct location for this question.

Any thoughts?

Get it to a tech who does Toshiba regularly and is experienced to get an estimate. No way to say much without more data.
