Gaming is limited (Trying to cut my son back!) My wife loves the Samsung TOC. I've heard great things about the Panasonic. Thanks for any advice.

LCD is fine for still images, but considering you watch hockey, it is a no brainer for the panny 800u. LCD just isn't up to par when it comes to motion. Plasma is the right choice for you

personally I am hesitant about buying a pdp online. With a little negotiating, you can get very competitive pricing at B&M stores. My suggestion is to buy from a B&M vs Amazon, but that said, I know plenty of people that buy from Amazon. I also like the instant grafication from buying locally.

If I had a small local merchant to support I would. At this point the chainstore B&M's can't compete for me when factoring in tax and shipping. The other incentive for me is redeeming Visa points for Amazon gift certificates.
