I have a Sony DVPCX995V 400 disc upconverting player that houses my non-blu-ray DVD collection. I tried to move it from an older Sony to my newer 60' Sony Bravia but the "hdmi" will not work. I downloaded the firmware update and it went thru the utility screen and started the process but halfway through the Sony shuts off and doesn't complete the update process after File 3.

Anyone have any suggestions? I went ahead and ordered the free update disc thinking the one I burned just didn't work properly.
