The Witcher is an action RPG incorporating a simple-yet-interesting game system, along with a complex plot and attractive 3D graphics. Already on the PC for over a year, with an enhanced edition released a few months ago, the console version will features a new engine/combat system, new animations/models/vegetation, dynamic lighting/shadows, achievements/trophies, sixaxxis support, new and more aggressive enemy behavior, full character control with optimized console controls.
Good news? The PC version got pretty good reviews.

IGN has a new interview with the lead developer.

And some new(ish) media. This is just a target render apparently but the combat looks like a big step up from Oblivion if it actually plays this way.

Here's the full version of that video. It gives a good overview of what the game's about at the beginning.

I played the extended edition released a couple months ago on the PC. FREAKING AWESOME GAME! One of my all time favorite roll playing games. Gorgeous game, great everything. Can't say enough positive about this.

I've got some friends that were fans of the PC game. i don't really know how much they are changing for the consoles, but it looks pretty cool. Seems a little like Fable meets Soul Reaver?
