So I am talking to an AV dealer who is "giving me a deal" but I don't know if it is or not. This is the internet after all.

I can't comment on the sound comparison between the 2 manufacturers, but I do know that is a good deal on that setup.

I have read about the AV123 company for months now. Researched numerious speakers Salk, Paradigm, and of course the Rockets and read hundreds of posts and reviews. I finally decided to order the Rocket RS1000's this past friday after much debate. I actually got to speak with Mark, the owner, when I placed the order and he was a true gentleman.

I do feel that ordering direct, you may be getting more speaker for the cash Instead of spending 40-50% of the money on the markup retailers have to put into place. Plus, there are so many good review and owners of the rockets out there and they keep on selling out for some reason. Im in the same boat as you...Right now I am as confident as someone could possibly feel ordering speakers having not heard them. At some point, you just gotta jump in. My rockets will ship this week. I can let you know what I think compaired to my paradigm monitor 11's once they arrive if you have not made a purchase.
