The demo is fun and I was going to buy this but a few things have turned me off from it. First, there is no local multiplayer game (only online multiplayer). While not a complete deal breaker, my mind was made up when I played the new Motostorm. I have room for only one racing game like this and I am getting the new Motorstorm.

I enjoyed the demo enough for a $20 purchase...I wouldn't pay more though (imo). Bummer on mulitplayer, but not a dealbreaker for $20. I'm bought a copy. Also got FarCry 2 for PC for $18.

If the prices are shown as full price then the limited quantities have sold out. LBP probably sold out at 12:01.

What the heck does that mean? On Amazon's page, it is labeled "Cyber Monday Specials." I've gotten e-mails from Circuit City, X10, 3Btech, and JoAnne Fabrics (???) labeled "Cyber Monday Specials."

They're doing you a favor. Seriously, don't buy Golden Axe.

There is no such thing as "Cyber Monday"....

Agreed, people need to figure that out. It's a completely made up day just like Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Independence Day, St. Patrick's Day, Columbus Day, Labor Day, and The Day the Earth Stood Still.

I've played it. It's actually a decent game if you like hack and slash. It's worth $20 at least if you like those kind of games.

I took advantage of that $19.95 Pure deal today (I got it for my Xbox 360, though).

I wouldn't buy it for $60, but for $20 I was all over it.
That is an awesome price.

I'm so tempted by the "PlayStation 3 Charge Base 2 Nyko" for $7.95, but it looks so ugly.

This one just looks sooo much better: http://www.amazon.com/PS3-Charge-Station-playstation-3/dp/B000J2VYQ8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1228155940&sr=1-1

I have that one (not the ugly Nyko). One great thing about it is that it has two powered USB connections on its side so that you can play-n-charge and also power any USB devices such as IR to BT converters or in my case an Astro Mixamp.

I guess my point wasn't that the days isn't called that, but that it's just another sale day tacked on to "black weekend".

Stats show year after year that there's not much of a jump in online shopping today; so to give it a name without teeth seems stupid to me. It's not the mobbing that comes on Black Firday, thats for sure. There used to be, as the only people with internet access used to be company machines, but that's long since passed.

So yes, todays called "Cyber Monday",

Why? No one really knows, because it's like every other (cyber) Monday, only with a few good deals.

I don't understand the logic of losing money on any sales, especially when you can't afford to lose money, so I'm guessing that any sales these stores have on "Black Friday" or "CyberMonday" are prices they can have all the time.

Um, you know that was sarcasm right? Hence my naming off all those real days implying they were fake.

Why? No one really knows, because it's like every other (cyber) Monday, only with a few good deals.

It's Cyber Monday for the same reason Black Friday is called Black Friday. It's a specific date every year that many online retailers have some big sale with a lot of discounted merchandise. So yes people know why it's called Cyber Monday, not sure why you're having such a hard time with the concept.

Oh I know.

Because the concept of Black Friday is two fold from a retail perspective, but it doesn't apply anymore.

1, To increase the number of people shopping your store for merchandise and 2, to get them to hopefully come for a deal, and leave with much more.

These two things just don't apply to "Cyber Monday", since online stores haven't seen a spike in sales in years [everyone had internet now a days] and two, because people tend not to "browse" and impulse buy as much through online stores when prompted to a website because of a deal.

It's just funny because the Print media loves writing story's about it come this time of year, but when you look into it's nothing but a fabled history, when in reality Black Friday truly is a king retail day.

I know, stupid in the grand scheme of things, but it's a funny observation. That's all.

And if I get my own II'sday, i'll buy ya all a round of beers! Hows that for a holiday!
