I've been looking around the internet for a definitive answer before making some purchases, but I haven't found any clear answers yet.
I'm planning on buying a new widescreen PC monitor 24" or 25.5" and I'm wondering if those with HDMI inputs will work with a cable box HDMI output such as a SA4250. The sales folks at big box stores all say yes, HDMI is HDMI. However, in the searching I have done, I've seen comments about the 4250 not recognizing the display on a monitor, especially those with 1920x1200 resolution. I've seen one monitor with 16:9 1920x1080 resolution (an Acer P244W) but there are some others that interest me more.
So has anyone had experience with this kind of setup. I read lots about PS3 HDMI to PC monitors, but very little about cable boxes.
