When does everyone think there will be a price drop for Bioshock? In time for the holidays? I'm really looking for a new game to play but can't bring myself to drop $60 when the thing is $30 on xbox.

Thanks

It's $45 on Amazon right now so there's a little bit of price play going on already, but I wouldn't expect it to go below $40 before the new year unless it's part of BOGO/B2GO type deal. I am going to wait till its down to $30 myself just because I've got so much else to play right now that it wouldn't make sense to add it to the log jam.

Didn't it just come out? It's gonna be awhile dude. If it's successful on the PS3, and by all rights it should be, then it will be about a year before the price drops. It's $30 on the 360 because it's been out on the 360 for a year and 3 months. Also Bioshock is absolutely worth $60, seriously amazing game.

It was like $27 at Costco the other day, but it went back up. Just keep checking CAG (cheap ass gamer).

I might just bite and get this at $45! I'm dying to play this game, especially now that I've completed far cry 2 and dead space.

You could rent it. It shouldn't take very long to finish it.

True. Is it only something like 6 hours?

Amazon.com doesn't seem to want to ship it to Canada. Is this usual? :(

Look at Lost Planet. Came out on the Xbox quite a while ago. When it finally came out on the PS3 it was $39 at Introduction. Now I've seen it for as low as $9 or $15 in places.

I predict Bioshock will come down quite a bit in the near future. I'm betting $29.99 before too long.

True. Is it only something like 6 hours?Roughly 8-10 hours, but it's not particularly replayable. The challenge rooms were added to the PS3 version to try and remedy that.

No, it's one of the longest FPS I've played, like 15-20 hours.

We must have played a different game. I finished the game on normal and then hard within 20 hours and got all 1000 achievement points (360 version).

Maybe it was just me then, I didn't time it but it seemed to drag on.

Yea, that is definitely not the norm. You must have flown through it. Everyone I know who's played it took 15 or more hours on their first run through.

Bioshock took me 18 hours to finish. It's not a reasonable weekend rental.

I havn't been timing my sessions, but I'm at least 12 hours into this game already. I don't blaze through them, so I'm sure others finish the game much faster than me... but this is certainly not a short FPS by any means. So far it has been an awesome game... very impressed by the entire look and feel to it. They really did a great job on this one!
