Here is my problem, I have 3 Sony LCD's 2 that handle 1080p and 1 @1080i all which can take HDMI and 1 Sony tube TV that can take 1080i component all in different rooms.
My sources are a Star choice receiver that has DVI and component outputs etc, a Sony BDP-S300 has HDMI and Component and a Dennon 1508 that can take HDMI etc
I may add a Direct TV HD receiver in the future..HDMI and component.
From what I can gather from reading many posts I think this is my best option..get a converter to take the dvi and digital sound from the SC receiver via HDMI to a matrix 1x3 spliter which can feed the 3 LCD TV's . Or better yet if I could find a 3x3 or 4 cross switcher then any TV could watch any source.
I should be able to use the component outputs from any source to feed directly the 1080i TV
I would like to be able 2 view on 2 TV different sources and have 5.1 capability from the SC receiver if possible and do all at a resonable cost $500+- cables being a extra $$
I am also worried about handshake issues..
Any guidance-advice as to doing this or equipment choices would be very helpful.
Thanks, Cary
