Ok Newb here and hours of searching I am truly frusterated. My objective is to capture the highest quality from my dishnetwork pvr vip 722. Now I have read there are more then one way to achieve this using some pretty expensive equipment at most..
Now would someone enlighten me to which is the cheapest and effective procedure.
I have found this card to be one of the best?? DeckLink HD Extreme 999$ hxxp://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/hd/. Then I also seen others using this cheap card Intensity™ US$249
hxxp://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/intensity/ Now I have also read about the hdcp used in the hdmi stream. Someone also told me that the hdcp token is not enabled on the vip 722 is this also true. I mean really doesnt matter we could purchase the hdfury2 to remove this if need be..
Now I have also foudn a few more alternatives to capturing. Using the R5000HD But only thing that i dislike about that is your limited to only record in real time and not capture recordings from the internal HDD. I was curious what about the external. Are they putting some encryption that canot be decoded by the hard ware used in the R5000HD mod..
I have advanced soldering skillz and pretty sure i can install this mod myself.. And last but not least I found the hxxp://www.hauppauge.com/site/products/data_hdpvr.html HD PVR
model 1212 Hauppauge for about 249$. Once again im just lookin for best quality and dont mind spending money but looking for ease at the same time..
