Looks like you have the perfect wall for a Theater experience instead of settling for television. No criticism meant - just sharing our personal experience.

We like our 56in HD 1080p television - it does television quite well - but it and no tv on the market today can give viewers a true Theater in the Home experience - defined as all watching go "WOW, this is just like being at the movies!"

We added a projector and big wall screen and what an incredible difference it made. We're happy with 5:1 surround - we decided that Theater in the Home is about 90% visual and while sound is very important to creation of overall theater viewing experience sound is a 2nd tier priority as a support or enhancement to the visual.

You don't need a fancy or dedicated "theater room" to have Theater in the Home - our tv and projector/screen are in our living room - but in our opinion you won't get Theater with the little tv so consider options to add a PJ and maybe a decent sized pull down screen that will simply pull down over the television when you want a Theater experience.
Best Wishes

Now I'm trying to find room for 4 floor standing speakers and 2 bose 201's to round out the 7.1 along with a new 58" to go on that wall

Is the white bifold door to the left of the equipment cabinet used often? If so, it would be tough to fit a pair of full range floor standing LR speakers in that space. If you don't absolutely have to have full range speakers in front, you could probably squeeze in something with a very small footprint like a DefTech Mythos 4 or 5. You would need a subwoofer somewhere in the room but it doesn't seem like that would be too big a challenge -- maybe put a compact sub under the lamp on the wall to the right of the equipment cabinet.

Given the presence of the bookcase on the left wall, I'm guessing you want to use the 2nd set of floor standers as rear surrounds. You could probably set them up flanking the chairs at the back of the room, but I would expect some problems with one channel being partly absorbed by the chair and partly defracted by the bookcase. Personally, I would wall mount the rear surrounds.

A bipolar design would probably be best for the side surrounds. I assume you will be wall mounting them. Mounting side surrounds just above the height of the bookcase and just behind the window would probably work OK.

If it were me, I would probably set the room up for 5.1 sound and live with it for a while before trying to squeeze a 7.1 setup in there. I would expect that good 5.1 sound in that space would be very satisfying.

Im going to tale your advise and just stick with a 5.1. I don't have room for 7.1 yet... damnit.
