I have 2 HR20's. One connects to and sees the internet. The other one sees the network but doesn't see the internet. I have both plugged into a gigabit switch which is connected to my DSL router.

I tried Advance Setup also and set the following:

IP Address - Set to a non used static address
Subnet mask - set to the same as the working unit
Default - set to the same as the working unit
DNS - set to the same as the working unit

Here are the errors:
STB Services Port N/A(202)
Network - Connected
Internet Not Connected (22)

How can I get this to work? I need to be able to get VOD on this DVR.

Thanks

Did you set the IP Address manually? If so, you might try "restore defaults" (or whatever it's called) and let the DVR use whatever IP is auto-assigned by the router. Don't know if that will help, but it's worth a shot.

I tried that too. It chooses an IP address that isn't even a valid address for the router. I don't remember what it chose.

Yeah, the default was out of the valid range, but when I reset it, it seemed to work. Do you have MAC filtering enabled on your router?

Using a Linksys WRT54G router. The only Mac Filtering is under Wireless. I'm not using wireless for the HR20's.

Is it called something else?

I don't think the WRT54G can MAC filter wired clients, so you're probably OK there. I'm new to HRxx networking, so I'm out of ideas :)

Might try reading over some of the excellent threads at DBSTalk such as this one (http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=99327) for more info.
