I own a Sirius Starmate 3 and have about 25 different artists and songs stored. However, since the merger some channels only allow song storing and some don't even give an option. I used to hear my artist alert very frequent, now it seems like it's non-existent! For example:

Highway 60 - only a song can be stored now. It says "Artist Unavailable"
The Pulse - I can't store anything.
Sirius Hits 1 - Both Artist and Song memory work

Does anyone experience the same issue as me? Any fixes?

There are a lot of glitches out there. For example, the Stillettos only seem to be able to record loved songs on certain channels.

As they merged channels, the are combining the playlists from Sirius in New York and XM in DC. Some of the channels are being transmitted from NY, others from XM's equipment in DC. The channels coming from DC are the ones most likely to cause problems.

I don't exactly know what the problem is, but I do know that Sirius and XM radios use different encoding algorithms. My guess is that the music is being translated fine between the two, but somewhere, the data header information is somehow different, or corrupted, and sirius radios are having some problems with cetain functionality from XM streams.

The problem is known, and supposedly they have been sending firmware updates to the stillettos, which has helped a little, but has not solved the problem. I'm not sure where your radio fits into the equation and what, if anything, they are doing about it, but you can call them and ask.
