OK, I know this has been done to death but I am frying my brain wondering what Sony is thinking.

Let me start off by saying that, in my opinion, the PS3 gaming console has been the biggest marketing blunder in history. Now before you jump all over me for that, let me explain...

When next-gen gaming was first rumored, hard core gamers-including myself couldn't wait to get my hands on the first console I could. The xbox 360 came out and I picked one up as fast as I could and was very happy up until first RROD. Now around this time people are talking Hi-def movies, and how the new playstation will have a blu ray player built in and technology far beyond what anyone has seen before. People camped out for days in my city to snatch one up on release date. At the same time people are starting to realize the xbox 360 has serious issues (still do) regarding RROD. So here we are years later and the PS3 is still battling for the title. The 360 should have been a frickin dreamcast by now!! Especially with HDDVD gone.

My point is this, FFIV is a game that would SERIOUSLY increase sales of the PS3. just a PSN download of the original would. FFIV is almost $300 on ebay for the original PS1 to this day for God's sake! Please someone enlighten me...

There is a FFIV remake, it's out now, and on the Nintendo DS.

If you mean FFVII, it's not Sony's game, they don't make development decisions for other companies.

Sony doesnt make ANY of the FF games..so bitchin here is a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME. Nevermind the fact that NOBODY here has any say so on what cames are ported/remade for the PS3...

There have been far bigger blunders in business (New Coke for example). The PS3 is still gaining ground and coming into its own. I think they made some mistakes, but that is a big accusation you are throwing out.

It's not a big accusation. It's simply blatant stupid hyperbole.

And, suggesting that a remake of FFIV would be a system seller reinforces the stupidity of it all.
