I have an older Sportster radio, and all this week the signal is weak and "Acquiring Signal" comes up every 10 seconds. It has been extremely cloudy here in Michigan, but I don't think that is the problem. Do you think it might be my Sirius car radio has gone bad after 3 years?

It could be a bad antenna or cable coming from the antenna. It could also be the connector where the antenna plugs into the receiver.

agreed...I had that problem and after looking CLOSELY at the cable, there was a small break where it was rubbing against the body of the car. THey are basically mini coax cables and it doesn't take much to break the connection of the outer shielding.

Same here. Had the same problem last year. Replaced the antenna and it went away and never came back.
