This is my first post here, I've come to these forums for help and always found it via search.

This one, I need a little input though.

I'm getting a new television, I'm working on a budget.

I'm keeping it under $800. That does keep the choices limited, but televisions have been coming down in price a lot lately. Here's what I'm basically deciding between.

Someone is selling a good condition Sony KDS60A2000 - a fairly well known 60" slim depth rear projection SXRD 1080P TV. $750.00

Or, cringe, a Sanyo 42" 1080p LCD walmart special for $599. + warranty and tax will bring it closer to the $750.00 range of the SXRD.

Should I go brand new, or used? Any other TV's in this size / price range that people recommend?

Thanks!

I suggest you spend some time in the A2000 owner's thread reading the posts. You can start at the end and work backwards. Then decide if you still want to get a used A2000.
Disclaimer: I have a trouble-free 55A2020.

Thank you for the reply.

Going by that thread it looks to be a great TV.

There's so many TV deals going on lately, it's hard to make a decision!
