I have a room with a narrow end about 14 feet across and an opposite wide end 22 foot across. One of the side walls is straight with a slight outward jog and the other a gentle curve. These elements cause the flare that gives the extra width at one end. I am trying to figure out which end should hang the screen.
The seating positions and screen size would change little from one end of the room to the other due to the symmetry of the room. 128" diagonal screen with 1st row at 148". The door is situated slightly closer to the wider end.
Based on this general information do you think that acoustically speaking (with a typical Logan setup) I would be better puttting the screen along the 22 foot wide wall where I can get the Summits well outside of the wide 2.35:1 screen and project the sound into the narrower part of the room
OR
put the screen along the narrower wall where the speakers just fit between the edge of the screen and the side wall but where the sound would project into the larger volume at the back of the room.
In general is it better to project sound into a room that widens or narrows?
Thanks
