So I took the plunge and ordered an EW for my news Mits Diamond from a company called DTVExpress.

Price was good, but maybe not so much now. When I checked my bank account this morning, it would appear that I have been charged twice.

So I called them after seeing this and they didn't seem in the least bit concerned. Said that this sort of thing happens occasionally, and that the bank usually backs one out.

I know I only ordered one EW so I'll have to go back with the bank and see what they say.

Without wishing to have the same grief that shut the last EW thread down, has anyone else used DTV and if so, how did you rate them?

Stores make over 50% gross margin selling extended warranties especially since they overlap the free one year warranties that come with all the sets by default. I have seen posts that Walmart sells extended warranties at a lower profit margin so the best value is from one purchased from them

If you have a CHASE SIGNATURE VISA card, you can register your purchase with them and they in turn provide a one year additional warranty to the manufacturer's warranty. Also they sells an extended warranty at very reasonable pricing. For instance, TV $1000-1500 cost approx $137 for three years. Google Chase Signature VISA Card.

not quite radman, $87 for 3 yrs. and $137 for 5 yr. extension. Additional 1 yr. on top of the manu. warranty. All you have to do is call Visa, they will mail you a return form, make a copy of the receipt and warranty card and send it back to them.
