I'm looking for a Pioneer HLD X0 MINT, Prisitine condition. Anyone knows where to find?

Yes, that's a High End Laserdisc Player from Pioneer.
However since it's an old technology sometimes it appears on ebay, but not in pristine condition.
Please don't get mw wrong by posting a Laserdisc Player thread here, but since the most related topic is DVD Players, that wasthe reson i've posted here.

The HLD-X0's are hard to find anyway, let alone in mint condition. You might contact this gentleman and see if he has any. Not sure what your needs are, but an X9 would be easier to obtain.

I was just looking for another X0 in Europe to save shipping costs ans customs. I already own one and like it very much.
I'm not too much into DVD, never was. Prefer LD, and after that D-VHS and Blu Ray.
Still love to watch LD's...

I know what you mean. I have two of the beasts myself.
I have not seen one on Ebay for a long while. FYI - I was offered one by Nicholas about three years ago for over $5,000. And then at least $500+ for shipping would be on top of that.

There was an X0 on Ebay about two months ago for a reasonable price. I almost went for it, but I didn't get a warm/fuzzy from the seller as he appeared overly desperate to sell the player. AFAIK, the auction ended without a high bidder. I ended up finding an X9 instead (but still casually looking for an X0).

If you dig up the last LD thread here that discussed the Entech comb filters, the person with the X0 posted in that thread.

What do you mean by finding the seller i that thread? I don't see any classified.
Anyway i'm not desperate. I wait to find one but i can wait, no problem.
And in fact it's a great machine but it's Laser, and with very high usage it's a danger, very expensive to repair.

Just been reading your threads great reading.

I have a mint quality X0 reserved with a seller, which should be paid for by late 2009.

The player will be fully serviced before shipment and will represent the completion of my collection, which has been hard work.

Love the LD format and shall do so well into old age......Ha! Ha!...Bliss

I am waiting very patiently for my next LD shipment from Japan of 11 titles, unfortunately this has been charged at customs, and I am currently awaiting the letter from them with the charge which should be around £50.

This has happened about 20 times now so you would think that I would be used to this, but guess what?.........I am a little annoyed to say the least.

I have about 2 more main orders with a total of 23 aprox titles to be shipped to myself in the coming months.

The good news though is the fact that the VAT has dropped to 15% from 17 1/2% so some difference.

Look forward to hearing from yourselves at some stage.
