I bought this unit three years ago. Here in Ohio we had a wind storm and power issues.
well the tv went out.
when i press the power button, the green light flashes for about 10 seconds and goes off. the screen doesnt come on.
service center said to replace lamp. so I replaced the lamp. turned the unit on and same thing!!!

Anybody have and suggestions????

Are you sure the lamp is seated properly and the lamp cover door is put back on? Also unplug the power from the wall and then plug back in. Next thing could be the ballast, which is a much more difficult repair.

the lamp is set and door is on. the green flashes five times and goes out. if this is a ballast issue, what kind of costs should I expect?? is this something the average joe with a little more than average skills do??
the tv is three years old.
