Am wondering with the Panasonic TH-C42HD18 720P model--
Since the native rez appears to be 1024X768, if you are going to connect an HTPC via HDMI to achieve 1:1 pixel match then do you set your HTPC resolution to 1024X768?
Also -- does this model have the same issue as the 1080P TH-C42FD18 and its cousins regarding the set powering off while running DVI>HDMI to any but the front HDMI connector? Looks like the 720P model has no front HDMI input, so do the back HDMI inputs on the 720P model suffer from this issue?
And a more general question -- have seen other manufacturers with 720P plasmas with native resolution of 1024X768. Since that is a traditional 4X3 PC resolution, am wondering how they all achieve 720P resolution? Non square pixels? Or are they simply scaling it up?
Thanks for your help.
