I have to mount my AX100 under the ceiling.
Should I try to get a ceiling mount and turn the projector around (bottom to the top) or would it work if I just build a shelf, hanging from the ceiling, so the projector is in desk mount position?
What is recommended? Does it make a difference?

A mount is much more easily adjustable and would probably run a bit cooler than a non-ventilated shelf / enclosure.

Yes, might be. But my issue is, I can not get a mount in this country, I would have to do it myself, welding etc., and that will sure not be 100% correct.

I just want to know if there will be any picture issue by using something like a shelf, mounted under the ceiling of does it not matter at all.

A mount designed for your projector would be best.... however, you can do anything you want so if you want it on a shelf you can do that. It will operate just fine as long as you do not limit the airflow to it.
