Hey guys, my Sony HS420 runs the initial setup screen everytime I power it on. Anyone know what service menu command can stop this behavior?

If you do the setup steps, does it stop?

nope tried doing the steps, made no difference, also unplugged the tv overnight and also made no difference.

Try Googling "sony keeps doing auto setup" or similar. I'd try pressing each control button on the TV itself, make sure none are stuck or inoperative. Even try hiding the remote as a test, sometimes they can emit unwanted signals. May need resoldering of remote receiver board.

thanks I'll try google, this all started after I left the service menu, I was in there doing some overscan adjustments and after that it started. I must've hit a button or something in the service menu.

it was a huge mistake, but i fixed my geometry perfect, now i just got this nagging problem everytime i power it on
